GigaOm puts NetApp, Pure Storage and Infinidat atop large enterprise primary storage array pack – Blocks and Files

GigaOm Radar research in the Primary Enterprise Storage solutions segment, by testing the top 11 manufacturers and comparing key technological components and business criteria, singled out only three leaders – NetApp, Pure, and Infinidat, in a field of ten competing technology vendors. Last year, among the eight evaluated technologies, six technology vendors entered the Primary Enterprise Storage provider category, but this year Dell, Hitachi Vantara, and IBM have been downgraded to “challenger” status. Among the ten surveyed technology vendors this year, Fujitsu, Seagate, and StorPool storage systems have also been included.
