Fujitsu and Supermicro achieve strategic collaboration for green computing and datacenter solutions
Fujitsu and Supermicro have announced a strategic collaboration to develop energy-efficient technologies for data centers and artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on green IT. As part of the collaboration, both companies plan to launch a platform based on the new Fujitsu processor “FUJITSU-MONAKA”, which will use arm architecture and 2-nanometer technology, and is expected in 2027. The partnership also includes the development of liquid cooling for AI and HPC infrastructure, optimized to reduce energy consumption in data centers, and Supermicro’s approach to Building Block server design, which enables scalable systems for AI, HPC, and cloud. In this initiative, Fsas Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Fujitsu, will provide generative AI solutions and implementation services. This collaboration will enable advanced green data centers that reduce environmental impact, fostering digital transformation through innovative and environmentally responsible AI technologies.
